Nicole’s Famnest Story: Finding Calm at Home

Can you tell us a little about your family setup? Who is part of your family, and what does your day to day life look like when it comes to managing schedules, responsibilities, and communication?

‍

‍We are a family of two but tend to have lots of things going on from day to day. I work full-time as a digital designer and my husband works in food service. I usually handle the grocery shopping, bill paying, and manage the household while also assisting my husband sometimes with his medical needs. We communicate often regarding what needs to be done and what goals we want to achieve in the future.

What initially made you look for a family app like Famnest? Was there a specific challenge around planning, budgeting, or organizing important information that you wanted to solve?

‍

‍I have tried other family apps before, but there were limitations as far as features that weren't available for me to use (like notes). When I first discovered Famnest, I was impressed that it had more features built in, and I was even more impressed at how easy it was to share suggestions for the app. I thought it would be a great thing for my husband and I to try. I normally get a little nervous about how my data will be used on these types of apps, but I was glad to find out that this company really is committed to not sharing or selling data. My goal was to have a central place where we both could stay organized using the Calendar and creating to-do lists for ourselves. Since I love to cook too, keeping my recipes in one place is awesome too.

Was there a particular moment when Famnest made a meaningful difference for your family? What changed compared to how you handled things before?

‍

‍I care a lot about customer service and the customer service at Famnest is top-notch. I feel so relieved that if there is an issue I am experiencing, I can just send an email to Support and they really care about resolving the issue. I'm not just a "number" to them. That means so much and really impacted how I view Famnest.

How does Famnest support your family life today? Which features do you use the most, and why are they important for your daily family organization?

‍

‍While we're technically still learning and getting used to the app (and I know there are some updates to come), I really feel like the Calendar, the Lists, and the Bills features will probably be used the most by us. I like that we can keep our health information organized in the Health section as well. This will help me to stay on top of things with less effort.

What advice would you give to a family who is just getting started with a family organization app like Famnest? What helped you get the most value early on?

‍

‍I would say, "Give a shot and start with the section you're likely to use the most". What helped me was browsing the app to see everything that was available, and then I began creating lists for us and putting my husband's doctor appointments on the Calendar.

In one sentence, how would you describe Famnest to another person looking for a better way to organize family life?‍

‍

Famnest is the All-In-One family app that makes life much easier! There's no other app like it in the app store.
